Great food! I'd rather pay a few extra dollars for quality food. It's a pretty place but wish they had more booths and a little more privacy in between the tables. Granted it's a fairly small restaurant....Other than that it's great. Food is fantastic.

The food was delicious!! I got the New York Strip with green beans and potatoes. We also had the prime rib with mash potatoes. Everyone was so nice totally recommend going here!

My husband loves meat and seafood, I am vegetarian, it is very hard to find a place in the Southcoast that caters to both, but here it is! This place offers multiple options, not just a salad or pizza for the vegetarian! Has an excellent drink menu. And has a great Portuguese flare!! The calamari is a must, and the staff are always very friendly. They also offer outdoor seating. It’s our new favorite place!

Really tasty! Highly recommend the fried calamari; very fresh, tangy, slightly sweet and spicy. The mussels were really flavorful - we had to order more bread to soak up the sauce. The picture shows how yummy the sauce was to dip with their bread.

Date Night Perfection! My husband and I had an unforgettable date night at this gem of a restaurant that completely exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, everything was on point. We kicked things off with two appetizers—the calamari and the lamb pops—and they were both next-level. Unique takes on classics that totally blew us away. The calamari had an unexpected twist we loved, and the lamb pops were perfectly tender and full of flavor. For our mains, my husband had the smash burger with truffle fries (crispy perfection), and I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked beautifully and paired with the perfect accompaniments. And let’s talk about the drinks—because our bartender and waiter Nick truly stole the show. Not only was he friendly and attentive, but his cocktail game is strong! We wrapped up our night with espresso martinis, and we both agreed they were hands down the best on the SouthCoast. If you’re looking for amazing food, exceptional service, and next-level cocktails, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. We’re already planning our next visit!

I love the Black Salt. Great atmosphere, service and food. Best calamari in the area, in fact the best I have ever had. They change up the menu every now and then and they always have plenty of great choices. Quality is consistent throughout the menu. They are not afraid to create new menu items and their options always taste great. We have tried many different selections and loved them all. The Fried Chicken Sandwich should be called “The Monsta” because it is so big and tastes great. KFC and Popeyes need to takes notes. The Cod is always fresh, flaky and tasty. My Stuffed Pork Chop was cooked to perfection: juicy and tender with great taste. The Azorian Burger is a flavor fest. My wife loved the Grilled Salmon. The Chicken Board was absolutely fabulous. The Bao Buns were soft and the ingredients were super tasty. The Key West Half Chicken was fantastic, tasty and tender. My wife loved the Chickpea Tikka Masala. Ordered the Tuscan Chicken and enjoyed every bite. The bowl was packed with flavor, tender and juicy chicken plus perfectly cooked pasta. Went for the brunch and ordered the Corned Beef Hash while my wife went with the Fish Tacos. Both were outstanding. The hash is house made with large pieces of meat and fingerling potatoes supported by sliced peppers. I added scrambled eggs and enjoyed every bite. The Fish Tacos were large, fresh and tasty. Celebrated our anniversary with some Cinnamon Churro Cheesecake and it was outstanding. The Smash Burger was tastetastic! Your taste buds say AAH! with every bite. The onion rings and jam add an excellent taste and crunch to the burger. The Blueberry Swirl Cheesecake is fantastic, creamy texture with tons of taste. Did my mom proud once again and did my usual Black Salt Clean Plate Club. Jessica provided great service from start to finish. The bar is well stocked and they are masters of mixology.

TLDR: Ordered: calamari, mussels, mushroom pasta and seafood linguine. Opinion: the pasta was light and still tasty, the calamari was Asian inspired and was incredible and the mussels had chorizo and were dripping with flavor. Service was amazing and I will be coming back. I came to Black salt after going to the beach. It the parking lot was almost full but there was a ton of space inside. We ordered the Calamari, the Mussels, the Linguine and the Mushroom Marsala. The pastas were light and delicious, the mushrooms were smoky and flavorful. But the highlights were definitely the calamari and mussels, the mussels were drenched in a delicious sauce which had chorizo and vegetables, the sauce was rich and had a slight umami flavor. The calamari was Asian inspired and had a tangy, sweet, citrusy, flavor that was to die for. To top it all off our waiter was simply the best, he was friendly even while the restaurant was busy, and he was just overall and incredible. I will be coming back!
